UAE 261kWh C&I BESS Solution for EV Charging Station with Solar Integration
LVK Power deployed a 261kWh commercial and industrial battery energy storage system (C&I BESS) integrated with solar PV and EV charging infrastructure in the UAE. The solution helps optimize charging operations, reduce peak grid demand, and improve renewable energy utilization through intelligent EMS control.
Project Overview
Project Background
Customer Needs
Increasing Charging Demand Multiple EV chargers operating simultaneously can create significant electricity demand peaks, increasing pressure on the local grid. Grid Capacity Limitations Expanding charging infrastructure often requires additional grid capacity, which may increase project investment and construction complexity. Renewable Energy Utilization Solar generation is highly dependent on weather conditions and cannot always match EV charging demand patterns. Need for Intelligent Energy Management The system required coordinated control between solar generation, battery storage, EV charging loads, and grid power. Project Overview LVK Power provided a 261kWh commercial battery energy storage system designed for EV charging applications. The system integrates battery storage, solar PV generation, EV charging equipment, and grid power through an intelligent energy management system. During periods of high electricity demand, the BESS can provide additional power support to reduce pressure on the grid. During periods of excess solar generation, available renewable energy can be stored and used later according to project operation requirements.
